what to nom #4

Patbingsu is something I've heard a lot about but have yet to try. It's kind of like the Korean version of an ice cream sundae; basically, you start out with shaved ice and sweet red beans, and from there you can add fresh fruit, fruit syrups, ice cream or frozen yogurt, sweet condensed milk... the list goes on. You can get pretty elaborate with these things. They're sold all over the place, particularly in summer when the temperatures become undesirably warm. (Korea is essentially on the same latitude as Ohio, and aside from Korea's typhoon summers, the seasons between the two are quite similar and pretty much coincide with each other.)

I've met people who practically drool at the mere mention of patbingsu, but I also know a few who don't much care for it, so we'll see which side I land on.
